In the piece called “The Path”, a gong can be heard ringing out with some subtle, evenly spaced metallic percussion in the background, accompanied by footsteps. A thundering, low percussion comes in, like an ominous gargantua. There is a distorted bit of slow percussion that comes in as well. After a while, the distorted percussion releases a bit longer, and then serves as a low burst of noise. This distorted percussion occurs in various monolithic configurations. There is a hint of cascading low piano notes playing, which play just on the verge of silence, and become ever-so-softly a little louder, but not very. The piano ceases briefly, then starts up again. After a very long time, the piano foments a bit, but not much. There is a constant rumble that ever-so-subtly creeps into the mix. An incredibly subtle bass tone starts to be heard. After this 32 minute piece is almost over, all cuts out except for the thundering gargantua sound and the sound of footsteps, which continue.
In “The Ritual”, a droning pad occurs with a lot of reverb, subtle and in the background while low piano notes play. A distorted bass plays in consistent time intervals. Soon, a distorted piano comes thundering in, dominating the mix with low notes. The playing is bombastic and atonal. Then, all cuts out except for a subtle hint of tonal noise, and some piano notes come in, playing without distortion. The distortion returns. There is a hint of some choir-ahhs, but they are drowned out by the piano. The playing fades out and becomes very low. Distorted higher piano notes come in playing a single-key minor key melody slowly. This time, the playing is halting and tentative. The playing goes a little higher, and then a single note is repeated quite a few times, the track ends, and the album as well.
