Ryota Horii. – Bitte Vergib Mir / Lost City

“Bitte Vergib Mir -贖罪-” opens this EP, beginning with a droning bass tone, which is soon accompanied by a droning low voice patch, then what sound like restless whispering voices with lots of reverb on them. A synth string then plays a somber melody in a minor key with some indistinct noise in the background. The synth strings play in a higher octave, with harmony added to the melody. What sounds like snoring but probably isn’t can be heard in the background. The synth strings plays at an even higher octave. A flubbing sound can be heard behind the melancholy string melody, but the strings mostly drown out the noise. The strings play at an even higher register, repeating a similar theme, then reach a crescendo and drop to a lower octave, and begin to ascend again.

Arpeggiated TB-303-like synth squelches can be heard distinctly in the background for a bit, and they remain but are mostly obscured by the strings. The strings fade out, and the squelches play over the voice for a bit, ending the track.

“Lost City -形跡-” begins with a pulsating bass, and then what sounds like some noises with reverb feedback with some delay on it are played. A low synth brass plays, and there is a hint of synth strings. There is the sound of room ambience, with people talking. Then, the sound of water can be heard, first untreated, and then through the delay and reverb. The synth brass continues playing a similar theme repeatedly, first with the other sounds, and then only over the bass. The sound of something being moved in flowing water can be heard. Then, the sound stops and the track fades out, ending the EP.
