The first side of this release is “Validity”. A full-spectrum, sustained blast of noise is played, with contortions of filtered, distorted resonance creeping up from behind it, which resolve in a bassy blast of noise, then return to their contortions. High amounts of distorted highs are let in briefly, and a repeating segment of percussive noise plays, then drops out, and the track returns to the resonance-wrangling. A rhythmic section of noise plays behind the full-spectrum blast briefly, and then the resonance-contortions return, and the rhythmic section returns a bit later briefly. High-pitched, chaotic—the resonance moves about under the constant blast of the noise. A tone plays. Then another one, also peeking up from behind the blast. A few more small tones play, and then the noise returns to its former chaos. The noise creaks and churns, and after a bit, the tonal, distorted feedback that created the tones returns, jumping out from behind the busy sound spectrum. The tones are engulfed by the disorder once more, and they return frequently. At about the nine-minute mark, there is a sustained tone that lasts for 27 seconds, and then is mostly swallowed by the distorted resonance again. The track goes on, then cuts out.
On “Encomiast” there is the sound of high-pitched, distorted resonance, and then a mostly full-spectrum blast of noise is modulated into a series of explosive sounds. There is a high-pitched squeal, and the explosive sounds return and are then sustained, occasionally interrupted by high-pitched, distorted resonance squeals. The character of the blasting noise changes. Then, there is noise of a higher volume that comes in on top of the former noise, also booming, and full spectrum. After a while it cuts out, leaving the former noise, and the two streams of booming noise play on top of each other. There is a resonance slide, and some square-like wave tones are somehow produced, which give way to waves of noise once more. The second wave of noise cuts in and out very fast, the volume modulated a bit. There are tones like an ambulance interspersed with crashes of noise which eventually become sustained again, and their character shifts about. There is a low hum that plays in a very loud and distorted manner, which gives way to more chaotic noise. Eventually the noise plays like a human scream which is first inhumanly loud, and then plays at a higher frequency. There are tones that play in a dissonant, distorted manner, which go back to the low hum after a bit. Eventually, the second wave of noise cuts out, and then returns, playing very chaotically, booming a bit, and then the sound abruptly cuts out, ending the release.
