“Fluxus I” begins with vibraphone arpeggios with low, pulsing, distorted bass in the background that soon is accompanied by some semi-tonal “laser”-like noise. The vibraphone breaks into a solo melody that repeats itself, and a swelling pad plays. The melody develops slightly, and a metallic tone plays with some tonal noise. Syncopated percussion comes in, with some digital noise playing in the background. There is a sustained tone, and then some ring-modulated noise, and the track ends.
“Fluxus II” starts with the sound of flowing water, and soon some vibraphone chords come in. Some reverb-laden FM-synthesized square wave melodies come in. Then, a drum-beat arrives, and there are some very short synth tones playing arpeggios. A melody plays briefly, and ring modulated percussion can be heard. Chaotic percussion comes in with a fade-in of FM-synth melody. Then, only the vibraphone chords play with some percussion, until the percussion ends and the track fades out.
“Fluxus III” begins with some vibraphone noodling and the swelling of synthesizer chords. The vibraphone playing becomes chaotic, but slow. An out of control synth arpeggio plays briefly, then fades out. Backwards melodies play, and are accompanied by vibraphone notes as a pad is sustained over the mix. There is some flubbing, and chaotic out-of-time melodies continue to play, and the track then fades out.
“Server-Assisted Biological Process” begins with flowing water and the sound of birds, and soon low vibraphone tones come in with short square wave synths not really playing in any time signature with a delay effect on them. FM-synthesized chords play with an echoing delay briefly, as short synth melodies continue. There is a scale-slide of synthesizer tones, and the haphazard melody continues. Occasionally there is a stab of an echoing chord, and harp melodies play throughout, until the sound echoes out, except for the sounds of birds, which also fade out.
